Final Event
The first competition came to a ceremonial close in February 2024 with another meeting of all participants in Florence.
The final results of the student teams were presented as part of the MED GREEN FORUM, an international conference on current issues in ecological construction. The five presentations impressed the conference participants as well as the jury that evaluated the works presented. They selected the winning team and the successful completion of the project was celebrated in the beautiful spring temperatures of Florence. "Actually, all the students won; it wasn't easy for us to choose an individual work," explains Prof. Dr. Gregor Grunwald, who is leading the project. "In any case, everyone involved gained a lot of new experiences, insights and valuable contacts". The project motto "Build Digital. Build Better." supports this assessment and makes it clear that this project is not only about building more digitally, but also about using digital transformation to build better, more resource-efficient, climate-friendly and quality-assured buildings, and to network students across Europe through cross-university collaboration, contacts and exchanges.
